Whichever way you can allow me to arrange and rearrange a bunch of open tabs into one window with an accordion tree structure on the side, (my pref), or multiple windows would be nice But if I can already create a new separate window instance, overriding the "one instance rule", then that could accomplish much of what I'd want. Dragging a file between two windows would just be a plus.
This brings up another design problem... I have one row of unreadable filenames, and can't even click on the file to see what the file name is, let alone the path. Best workaround would be for me, show vertical lists of tabs instead of horizontal. If resizable, then I can show as much as I need.
-FILE- -VIEW -GO TO- ... ----- C:\MY-FOLDER-PATH\FILENAME.PDF\
Another key workaround is to have that tab open, and be able to see the complete filename and path. Where?? Provide the option to ADD the line above the tabs, as shown above this paragraph. While there, maybe add all the dropdown Windows commands? Should be dead simple, since both of these are standard Windows design features to show the complete filename and path on the same top line with all the menu options, like file, edit, etc.
Although I had planned to make a separate feature request for this, and I still can, or someone else can if you want. I just didn't want to add more clutter. -- But, the filename across the top is the only reason I've registered here, and has always been a huge issue for me, and one reason I end up with 100 tabs open.
Last low priority suggestions --- add additional horizontal lines for the tabs. Notebook++ does this, and takes up half of the NP++ screen with open filenames! BTW, the Window's Title for the NPP+ window, shows the complete filename of the open tab, and I threw the option to also include the full path.

i am sorry if this offends anyone but isn't one sumatrapdf windows with billions of tabs enough? since opera got famous for tabbed browsing in the year 2000 https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabbed_Browsing#Entwicklung i have just one window and trillion of tabs. sometimes i make tab groups like in newest edge. the taskbar should be always empty (max. 6 windows)

for multiple screens, each has an unique desktop, is that a good idea. so i can drag a tab from one sumatrapdf window to another.
