Shrink PDF (reduce file size)

Many websites restrict the size of a PDF to upload. It would be very appreciated to have an option that allows reducing the size of a PDF, either by removing unnecessary elements, document properties and/or reducing the size/quality of the images contained.

If a pdf is already correct then the only way to reduce size is remove the pages of data, or degrade their quality by removing pixels and characters. There are probably a 100 web sites that offer to degrade a PDF but few if any can maintain the existing quality. Agreed there are some fast decompressed PDFs that can losslessly be made smaller, but at the cost of both slow compression and slow decompression. Neither are desirable in a PDF viewer. IF you wish to try the best look for PDFSizeOpt or rebuild the PDF with GhostScript but avoid degrading quality (Never use /Screen, use /Ebook or better)
